About the Project
A few portraits for Blank Media, a new music venture. The main one was a portrait of Boris Blank — who wasn't supposed to come out this spooky, but at some point I just decided to lean into it.
Partway through, we wondered whether the slow build-up of the drawing could become an animation. I had never once opened Adobe After Effects before this, which is almost certainly why we didn't end up going down that road — learning on the job has its limits. Someone far more capable could probably have made something genuinely good out of the audio-visualisation idea.
