Davide Somma
A galactic Davide Somma for The Square Ball's 2019 Summer Special — equal parts Leeds nostalgia and full-blown space-opera overreaction.
About the Project
Made for The Square Ball's 2019 Summer Special, alongside a Leyendecker-inspired Molenaar and a manga fight between Garry Monk and David Wagner.
The headline feature that issue was the Cellino car park incident, but this one went somewhere else entirely: Davide Somma reimagined as something a good deal more cosmic and melodramatic than strict realism tends to allow.
April 2019 — and yes, it includes the yellow Somma variant, because one version of a galactic footballer felt a bit stingy.
