Iker Casillas
A 'Saint Iker' portrait for NPLH's Divine Intervention issue — Casillas and that 2010 Robben save rendered as something between a saint card and a hologram.
About the Project
Centred on that save against Robben in 2010 — the one that may or may not have involved some divine assistance.
Made for NPLH issue 9: Divine Intervention, the image borrows from religious iconography, Gustave Doré, holographic trading cards, and whatever else felt suitably overblown.
It lands somewhere between saint card, fever dream and football myth — which felt like exactly the right place for Iker Casillas.
