Kemar Roofe
The first published Square Ball cover and first released digital illustration — a Kemar Roofe portrait that started life as a study to learn Adobe Illustrator.
About the Project
It was a genuine pleasure to make my first cover for the award-winning Leeds United fanzine The Square Ball, featuring our former striker Kemar Roofe. The first piece of digital illustration I ever released into the world — originally just a study to teach myself Adobe Illustrator.
I might redo the Roofe portrait one day, since I've learned a fair bit in the meantime. But there's something nice about looking at a thing I made a few years ago that now brings me genuine physical pain to be associated with. Progress.
