Pablo Hernandez
A geometric Pablo Hernández print from The Square Ball’s Campeón Special — one of the most graceful players Leeds ever had, reduced to clean line, flat colour and rhythm.
About the Project
This one ran in The Square Ball’s Campeón Special, the 228-page book marking Leeds United’s title-winning 2019/20 season.
I pushed Pablo Hernández much further into graphic territory here — less texture and atmosphere, more shape and rhythm. The whole point was to see how far I could reduce one of the most graceful footballers Leeds have ever had into a clean, almost diagrammatic language without losing the man inside it.
The book itself was beautifully put together by Eamonn. You can get the print here.

Sequence note
The closing plates are intended to read like a print-room pass: object, surface, and image held in sequence rather than treated as isolated uploads.
Deep zoom appendix
Print-resolution studies
These appendix plates are wired for the Deep Zoom lightbox flow described in the implementation spec: inspection JPEG first, then tiled print-resolution detail once the viewer is ready.
