Thomas Christiansen
A Thomas Christiansen portrait for The Square Ball — that brief, top-of-the-table glow of late 2017, drawn graphic and skeletal because of how it all ended.
About the Project
Thomas Christiansen. He was good for a bit — specifically the first half of the 2017/18 season, when Leeds topped the table and everything felt temporarily magical. This was for The Square Ball: a portrait that leans somewhere more graphic and skeletal, which felt about right given how the season eventually fell apart.

The oil studies underneath are from an earlier life — ten-plus years of painting mixed with photography, back when I still used actual paint.

Sequence note
The closing plates are intended to read like a print-room pass: object, surface, and image held in sequence rather than treated as isolated uploads.
